Surounded by mountains!

We are here in a town far away in the mountains.  We made some new friends, I know that God loves this town!

We have met so many new friends already in this short time.  Last night me and Stefan got invited for tea in a lady's house.  Her house - a bed and a stove in a small room.  It was freezing cold and I could not think how bad it must be to sleep in this coldness.  Her child is the small one in the picture.  She was so friendly and gave us some tea and her last piece of bread.  I believe that the Lord wants her to get saved!  We will go back to her and try to spend some time with her.  Altough the language is a big barrier to overcame we can still communicate with hand signals and our small pocket dictionary.

Please pray with us as we walk these streets.

Blessings

We are eating rice in China!

What a wonderfull amazing place with the most friendly people I've ever met in my life!

We arived here in a city that they call "Atlantis" yesterday after an 30 hour train ride.  We drove by car another 7 hours and suddenly everything was white as snow,  yes it is snowing!

We are staying in a very nice hotel for two nights and then our teams are going to split up and visit 5 different cities in the mountains for the next week.

These cities are closed for the gospel and never had there been any missionaries to share the good news of Christ.
Many Moslem people and also Tibetans crowds these streets.  I've never seen so many people in my life!  This is overwhelming and I know so clearly that it is only by prayer, -  the sacrifice of long intimate prayer that God will break trhough in this part of China.

This is a country that feels like it is out of a story book.  Nothing looks or sounds familiar,  it is such an wonderfull thing to be here!
I love China!

Please pray with us as we will embark on our prayer journey tomorow.  The cost of being a Christian here is so high,  I realize that me as an South African will never realy know the cost that these people pay to follow Christ.  We travelled trough the city that brother Yun was in prison for his faith - my heart got torn when I heard that still today there are believers in that same prison because of their faith.

Thank you so much for all your prayers,

Blessings from China!
Anita
